Current Vacancy
Education Support Teacher
Divine Mercy College seeks an Education Support Teacher Full Time 1 FTE to provide education support for students from Kindy to Year 10 as needed, including Tier 2 and 3 interventions.
The position is available immediately.
Liaise with Principal, Early Childhood Coordinator, Upper Primary Coordinator, and Head of High School.
Collaborate with Primary and Secondary Teachers on matters involving individual students, including supporting with IEPs and differentiation/modification of curriculum, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements for students with additional needs
Update paperwork such as Caseload Documents, Risk Management Plans, and Educational Wellness Plans, collaborating with various colleagues including the School Counsellor.
Have knowledge and skills related to multiple disabilities and learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Specific Learning Disorders, as well as basic knowledge of medical conditions such as Diabetes and Epilepsy
Able to positively collaborate with Education Assistants, to guide the provision of Education Support programs
Communicate with parents and caregivers, holding case conferences and meetings
Communicate with external stakeholders such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, SSEN teachers, Educational Psychologists, etc.
Maintain accurate records
Previous experience with the MultiLit program (MiniLit and MacqLit) is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of assessments such as YARC, PAT, ABLES WA is desirable.
Previous experience with AIS WA Inclusive Education Funding applications and NCCD collection requirements are desirable.

Qualifications Required
Hold recognized teaching qualifications in Education Support.
Current Registration with Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
Current Working with Children Card
Essential requirements include possession of a current teacher's registration & WWC check.
